Kinderwunsch BodenseeWho bears which costs?

Cost coverage by statutory health insurance

The inability to conceive is often emotionally stressful – which makes it all the more important to know what financial costs you can expect and what support is available.

Cost coverage by statutory health insurance

If you have statutory health insurance, your health insurance provider will in many cases cover 50% of the treatment costs, provided that the following conditions are met:

  • You are married.
  • The woman is between 25 and 40 years old, and the man is under 50.
  • A treatment plan has been submitted and approved.

If the requirements are met, the health insurance company will contribute to:

  • 8 inseminations without hormonal stimulation
  • 3 inseminations with hormonal stimulation
  • 3 IVF or ICSI treatments
