You will be supported with hormones that you inject yourself at home. The aim is to mature several eggs instead of just one, as in the natural cycle. We closely monitor your cycle with ultrasound and blood tests. As soon as the right time has come, we trigger ovulation in a targeted manner.<\/p>\n
About 36 hours after ovulation is triggered, the eggs are retrieved under short, gentle anesthesia. In the laboratory, your eggs are then placed in a nutrient solution with the prepared sperm \u2013 either from your partner or a donor.<\/p>\n
In a special incubator that mimics the conditions in the uterus, fertilization can take place within the next few hours.<\/p>\n
Once a well-developed embryo has formed, it is carefully transferred to your uterus a few days later using a fine catheter \u2013 a usually painless, short procedure without anesthesia.

Instead of leaving the sperm and eggs to fertilize on their own, ICSI involves injecting a single sperm directly into the egg using a fine glass capillary \u2013 under a high-resolution microscope and with the utmost precision.<\/p>\n
After fertilization, the embryo develops as in IVF until it is transferred to your uterus a few days later.<\/p>\n
